A logistics platform is not a garage: the constraints are radically different. Intensive cycles, controlled temperatures, overnight security, downtime that halts the supply chain - we size every door for your measured use, not for a standard catalogue.
Sized for your actual cycles
An e-commerce warehouse can reach 500 cycles/day on a receiving door. We measure your flows (forklifts/h, seasonality, time slots) before choosing between a WA 500 (12 to 15 cycles/h depending on voltage) and a WA 500 FU with frequency inverter (25 cycles/h, 30 with the heavy-duty option). No under-sizing, no unnecessary extra cost.
Cold chain and thermal efficiency
For tempered warehouses (15-18 °C) or positive cold storage (2-8 °C), the SPU 67 Thermo with ThermoFrame achieves U = 0.51 W/m²K for the installed door. Combined with a V 6030 SEL high-speed door on the inside, which shortens opening times, you significantly reduce thermal losses compared to a standard installation.
Opening at up to 3 m/s
Hörmann V 6030 SEL high-speed doors open at 2.0 m/s as standard and up to 3.0 m/s with the optional AK 500 FUE-1 control - against 0.19 m/s for an industrial sectional door driven by a WA 300 S4. Every second gained multiplies your operators' productivity and reduces collisions on partially opened doors. Critical path for cross-docks and e-fulfilment.
RC2 anti-burglary security
Optional RC2 certification to DIN/TS 18194 on SPU F42 / SPU 67 Thermo: three-minute resistance to break-ins with simple tools. Recommended for high-value storage sites (electronics, pharma, tobacco) and Findel customs platforms.
Contracted preventive maintenance
A broken logistics door stops your line. Fermelux offers preventive maintenance contracts (2 to 4 visits/year depending on cycles) and a breakdown service Monday to Friday (8am-12pm / 1pm-5pm) on +352 691 545 407, fast call-out subject to availability; outside these hours, only under a specific maintenance contract, with original Hörmann parts.
Widths up to 10 m
SPU 67 Thermo doors cover up to 10,000 mm of opening - easily enough to accommodate a semi-trailer in reverse. For wider bays, Hörmann provides sliding intermediate mullions.

On a typical logistics platform, we combine three door families to cover every flow: exterior (overnight closure, security), interior (fast flows, thermal), outdoor loading bays (robustness). Each door is controlled independently but can be integrated with your BMS.
SPU 67 Thermo

Drives for intensive cycles
The choice of drive is critical on a logistics door: undersized, it breaks within 6 months; oversized, you pay more for nothing. We measure your real flows before recommending a solution.
WA 500 FU
Shaft-mounted drive with frequency inverter - THE logistics choice. 25 cycles/hour (30 with the heavy-duty option), up to 1.0 m/s with chain transmission unit and 560 control, smooth start-up that preserves the mechanics. Recommended on SPU 67 Thermo in high-cadence warehouses.

Chain-rail drive for lateral footprint constraints. Frequency inverter, 0.5 m/s, 25 cycles/hour. Ideal for cross-docks where every lateral centimetre counts.

The workhorse of standard warehouses. 230 V / 400 V, 0.3 m/s, 12 cycles/hour at 230 V, 15 at 400 V. Sufficient for storage halls with moderate flow (up to 150 cycles/day). Economical.

A logistics door is work equipment under the Machinery Directive: compliance is mandatory and inspected by the ITM (Inspection du Travail et des Mines) in Luxembourg. We deliver with a CE certificate and a maintenance log.
