Swing gates, intelligently motorised
Motorising a swing gate is more demanding than a garage door: wind load, leaf weight, fixing constraints, occasional pedestrian passage. The Hörmann RotaMatic is specifically designed for these constraints - progressive start-up, virtual end stops, independent control of both leaves.
Soft-start and soft-stop
The adjustable speeds of the RotaMatic and its Sanft-Start / Sanft-Stopp functions (progressive start and stop) protect the gate hardware, hinges and fixings - particularly important on heavy solid-steel or composite leaves. The result: less wear, quiet opening and a smooth look.
Built-in pedestrian passage
On a double-leaf gate, the RotaMatic can open a single leaf, fully or partially, as a dedicated pedestrian passage. Handy for collecting the mail, letting in a delivery driver or a child on a bike, without opening the whole gate every time. Dedicated channel on the handset.
BiSecur 128-bit radio
Hörmann's BiSecur radio system uses 128-bit encryption at 868 MHz, which Hörmann compares to the security of online banking. Its signal, combining fixed code, rolling code and manufacturer key, is protected against copying, unlike low-end fixed-code radios. Your gate only responds to your paired remotes.
Suited to large leaves
The RotaMatic PL is specifically sized for large leaves: up to 4,000 mm wide per leaf, 400 kg, 2,700 N pulling force. The mandatory choice for villa gates, estate entrances and windy accesses.
Opening inwards or outwards
Depending on your mounting situation (narrow pillar, curved driveway, nearby pavement), the RotaMatic can push or pull the leaf. Several mounting brackets let this ram operator adapt to almost any residential entrance configuration, with an opening angle of up to 125°.
5-year manufacturer warranty
Hörmann warrants its RotaMatic operators for 5 years - well above the market average. Fermelux handles after-sales in Luxembourg: breakdown service Monday to Friday (8am-12pm / 1pm-5pm) on +352 691 545 407, fast callout subject to availability; outside these hours, only under a specific maintenance contract, genuine Hörmann spare parts, qualified technicians.
