Ceiling-retracting
garage doors
The aluminium-profile curtain rises vertically, then is guided flat under the garage ceiling on tracks: no roll-up box, nothing swings outwards, and very little headroom is needed. Fermelux installs the Hörmann RollMatic OD and the Roma GECCO and SILENTO, all motorised as standard.
Advantages of ceiling-retracting doors
What a door that stows under the ceiling offers, and what to know before choosing one.
Minimal headroom
60 mm headroom for the RollMatic OD, from 53 mm for the GECCO and from 76 mm for the SILENTO: a solution for low garages or garages without a lintel.
Nothing swings out
The curtain rises vertically and stows under the ceiling: nothing projects outwards when opening, so you can park right in front of the door.
No roll-up box
The aluminium-profile curtain is guided flat under the ceiling instead of being wound up. Simply plan a clear area under the ceiling over the depth of the curtain.
Duo Balance (SILENTO)
On the Roma SILENTO, covered compression springs on both sides balance the curtain: the door stays in position even if the motor fails or a spring breaks.
Roma colours
GECCO and SILENTO: 7 Harmonie colours as standard. The SILENTO is also available in 42 Trend shades and 150 RAL Vielfalt colours (at extra cost). RollMatic OD colours: please ask us.
Motorised as standard
RollMatic OD: Hörmann ProMatic as standard on the horizontal track, SupraMatic optional. GECCO and SILENTO: Roma motor, radio and 2 Pearl transmitters as standard.
