Hörmann Rolltor doors are steel-slat curtains that wind around an overhead barrel - zero ceiling encumbrance, ideal for halls with low headroom, curved architecture or sites with an overhead crane. Decotherm S profile in double-skinned PU-foamed galvanised steel, up to 12 m wide as standard and 36 m in SSG DD combination, up to 200,000 cycles with the S6 pack and regular maintenance.
The compact solution for low-headroom halls
The Rolltor winds fully around an overhead barrel and frees up the entire ceiling - no rail interferes with an overhead crane, a mezzanine or a low truss. It is Hörmann's answer to constraints a standard sectional door cannot solve.
Zero ceiling encumbrance
Unlike a sectional door, the Rolltor has neither horizontal rails nor ceiling panels: the curtain winds entirely around the overhead barrel. You keep 100% of your usable height and free ceiling surface - essential for an overhead crane, suspended ventilation or a mezzanine.
Wind resistance class 4
With the W4 pack, the Rolltor reaches wind resistance class 4 (EN 12424) up to 12 m wide. The Sturmhaken storm hook is standard and prevents the curtain from being extracted from the guide rails during gusts or vandalism attempts.
Compact Decotherm S winding
Decotherm S double-skin, PU-foamed galvanised steel slats interlock and wind around a very small diameter. Up to 9 m clear passage height in Rolltor DD configuration, with minimal barrel encumbrance - perfect for the low lintels typical of agricultural barns.
Low maintenance
Patented construction without exposed cables or torsion springs (the Rolltor SB uses tension springs protected inside the barrel). Fewer moving parts than a sectional door, therefore less wear. With the S6 pack, designed for 200,000 cycles subject to regular maintenance and replacement of wear parts, annual standard maintenance by Fermelux.
Custom perforated slats
Decotherm S is available with ventilation and glazing profiles integrated into the winding. Ideal for recycling centres, agricultural halls or workshops that need permanent ventilation or daylight without opening the door.
Fast installation on existing structures
The barrel and guide rails are mounted on the existing lintel and jambs without masonry work in most cases. Installation is usually completed in one day (longer for a large Rolltor DD). Removal of the old door is always included.

Two Hörmann Rolltor constructions

4 Hörmann drives compatible with Rolltor
The Hörmann Rolltor is available with integrated direct drive (DD) for large sizes and with shaft drive (WA 300 R S4 / WA 300 AR S4) for the Rolltor SB. The S6 pack turns the Rolltor DD into a high-speed door at 1.1 m/s for logistics flows.
