FlexFire fabric
fire curtain Hörmann
FlexFire is a fabric fire curtain designed to disappear into an overhead housing and deploy automatically in case of fire. Glass fibre or technical E-Glass fabric, classifications from E30 to EI2 30 per EN 13501-2, mandatory CE marking EN 16034 since 2019. Gravity-driven closing without power, guide rails only 115 mm wide, widths up to 5,500 mm - the invisible fire compartmentation solution for public buildings, logistics and underground car parks.

Invisible fire compartmentation
FlexFire replaces steel fire doors for large openings: zero floor footprint, no visual obstruction during normal operation, and certified automatic deployment on fire alarm. A fire safety engineering solution for buildings where aesthetics, flow and surface area matter.
Invisible when open
The fabric curtain rolls up into a compact housing that integrates into suspended ceilings. Zero visual obstruction, no floor obstacle, no interference with pedestrian or vehicle flows. The only compartmentation device that respects the architecture of open halls, shopping galleries and entrance lobbies.
Large openings up to 5,500 mm
Width up to 5,500 mm and height up to 5,310 mm in a single unit - where a steel fire door would force heavy partitioning. Ideal to compartment logistics halls, shopping galleries or evacuation corridors without architectural break.
Certified EI2 30 insulation
FlexFire EI2 30 delivers 30 minutes of integrity and full thermal insulation (unexposed face temperature limited to +140 K average / +180 K peak), compliant with EN 13501-2. Versions E30 to E120 and EW30 to EW90 available depending on the regulatory requirement of your compartment.
EN 16034 compliance - CE marking
Since November 2019, harmonised standard EN 16034 makes CE marking mandatory for any fire-resistant closure sold in the European Union. FlexFire is tested and certified to EN 16034 and EN 13241 - declaration of performance supplied with every installation.
Gravity Fail Safe closing
FlexFire closes under its own weight, without electrical power, with integrated speed regulation. In the event of power failure, fire alarm or malfunction, closing is guaranteed. Magnetic contact integrated in the guide rails for position detection.
Flexible & modular compartmentation
Guide rails only 115 mm wide, wall or ceiling mounting, invisible integration in suspended ceilings. FlexFire adapts to existing architectural constraints - including retrofitting public buildings or warehouses where adding a steel fire door would be impossible.

EN 54-7:20186 sectors where FlexFire excels
FlexFire is the fire compartmentation solution for buildings where a steel fire door would be disproportionate, unsightly or impossible to integrate. Here are the 6 sectors where we install it most often in Luxembourg.
Logistics & open-space warehouses
Compartmentation of a storage hall exceeding the maximum compartment surface imposed by the fire safety regulation - without partitioning the space in normal operation.
Underground & silo car parks
Separation of underground car park compartments in accordance with fire compartmentation rules. Invisible integration in concrete slabs.
Shopping centres & public buildings
Shopping galleries, entrance halls, evacuation corridors in public buildings. Invisible compartmentation that preserves the customer experience.
Hospitals & care facilities
Separation of care units, protection of rooms and corridors. Full EI2 30 thermal insulation is essential to preserve patient evacuation routes.
Industry & regulated facilities
Facilities regulated for environmental protection: compartmentation of fire-risk zones in workshops, process rooms and combustible storage areas.
Public building / heritage renovation
Bringing existing public buildings up to code where adding a steel fire door would be impossible (lintel, aesthetics, flow). FlexFire integrates in suspended ceilings without structural work.
