The Hörmann SPU F42 Plus industrial sectional door is the standard for condominiums and underground car parks in Luxembourg. Designed for up to 50,000 cycles as standard and 200,000 with the optional long-life package, it combines 42 mm steel insulation, ultra-quiet operation and low-headroom track from 200 mm (manual version) - the technical answer to every communal garage constraint.

Low-headroom track
Hörmann Niedrigsturzbeschlag allows installation in underground car parks with very low headroom (from 200 mm for manual operation, more depending on the operator), maximising passage height.
Insulation U = 0.94 W/m²K
42 mm double-wall steel panels with PU foam: U = 1.0 W/m²K installed, 0.94 with ThermoFrame. Limits thermal losses between heated parking and outdoors.
Integrated ventilation (ALR F42)
ALR F42 variant with stainless steel expanded metal mesh or perforated sheet infills contributes to the natural ventilation of underground car parks; car park compliance must be confirmed by the engineering office.
Anti-trap safety as standard
Anti-trap seals between panels, anti-drop catch, photo sensor and motor force limitation - compliant EN 13241 for communal use.

Two models for two uses
The Hörmann communal sectional range comes in two complementary models: SPU F42 Plus for premium condominiums and ventilated ALR F42 for regulated underground car parks.

Industrial motorisation
Hörmann communal operators are designed for intensive use (ITO 500 FU: 25 cycles/hour; SupraMatic HT: 20 cycles/hour), with soft start and stop to limit noise and wear. The TTR 1000 transponder reader manages up to 1,000 badges.

Rail motor with variable frequency drive, 0.5 m/s speed. The standard for communal garages up to 100 spaces. Integrated Soft-Start/Stop, patented rail locking.

EN 13241 - Industrial door safety
Mandatory European standard for any motorised door in communal use: anti-trap, force limitation, anti-drop device, CE marking. All SPU F42 and ALR F42 are factory certified.

Underground car parks over 100 m² must provide natural or mechanical ventilation. ALR F42 with expanded metal mesh can contribute to natural ventilation - to be validated with the engineering office.
Grand-Ducal ITM regulationFire resistance (option)
For car parks requiring fire compartmentalisation, Hörmann offers fire-rated closures (for example the FlexFire textile fire curtain, rated from E30 to EI2 30) alongside the standard communal door. To be sized with the architect or inspection body.

The integrated wicket door without threshold allows wheelchair and pushchair passage per Luxembourg PRM regulations. Clear passage width of 940 mm on the SPU F42.
